Introduction

The therapy of septic complications is a difficult part of vascular surgery. In many cases, the removal of the vascular graft appears to be the only solution.

Case

The 49 year-old male patient's medical history shows hypertonia and diabetes mellitus. Years ago, a femoropopliteal bypass was created in his right leg. Few months after the surgery, septic wound complications emerged. The patient underwent multiple reoperations and, eventually, a right femoral amputation.
