Description

At EMWA-DEWU 2026 in Bremen, the HARTMANN lunch symposium “Advancing Chronic Wound Care: Clinical Outcomes with Silicone Superabsorbent Dressings in DFU & VLU“ will present results from a recent observational study on silicone superabsorbent polymer (SAP) dressings in patients with venous leg ulcers (VLU) and diabetic foot ulcers (DFU).

Over six weeks, improvements were observed in wound area, wound bed quality and exudate control, alongside with patient-reported benefits related to quality of life and high levels of social support following chronic wound management with SAP dressings.

Expert insights will be presented by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Probst and Dr. Agnieszka Lipinska. The session will be chaired by Prof. Dr. med. Ewa K. Stürmer.

Simultaneous German–English and English–German translation will be provided.
