Introduction

Existing enzymes in larval secretion will allow the degradation of non-viable tissue protein binding to viable tissue and the reorganization of extracellular matrix.

They also allow the rapid degradation of clots, breakage of fibrin bonds and necrotic tissue.Studies show that clinical effects of using LDT are:

  • Debridement of the wound
  • Wound disinfection
  • Increased wound healing work completely through all the actions of TIME.

Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) has been shown to promote the formation of granulation tissue in patient with complex wounds.

The application of NWTP in complex wounds after LDT has been shown:

  • Best advanced therapy in the management of wound bed moisture level
  • Reduction of perilesional edema, infection / biofilm management
  • Optimization of tissue in the wound bed, promoting epithelialization and healing.
