Specific information on data protection for users of the LINK website

Our Link for Wound Healing website is a platform dedicated to wound care professionals (hereinafter called “users”) around the world. Our website provides services and information about wound care, such as branch-specific events, webinars, e-learnings and scientific content. We call it global hub for expertise in wound care. In this context we also offer additional services via various channels directly to our users.

Within the scope of providing our services, we process personal data (hereinafter called "data”) from our users. This specific privacy policy informs our users about the data processing. Additional information about the processing of the user’s data can be found in our general HARTMANN privacy policy. We also refer to the HARTMANN privacy policy in individual cases. Insofar as there is no information on an individual data processing in this specific privacy policy and no individual reference to our general HARTMANN privacy policy, our general shall govern.

1. Registration, log-in and usage
1.1 When users register on the LINK website, they need to enter the following information:

Fields in the registration mask marked with optional are not mandatory.

1.2 We use the email address within the registration process for the log-in process itself and to carry out the double opt-in procedure approval. After registration within the log-In process, we identify the users by email address. The processing of the data is based on Art. 6 (1) b General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter called “GDPR”).

1.3 When users register on our website for the first time, we execute a match-and-merge process to evaluate if the given information by user already exist in our Customer Relationship Management System and if yes, to compare this information with the existing data. This process enables us to guarantee that user´s data is not doubled, correct and up to date. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR.

1.4 We merge the registration information into one user account. In addition, we use the user data to the extent necessary to provide our services, i.e. for registration and participation in events, webinars, e-learnings and for authorization management and access control in general and (if relevant) for information or deletion requests. The processing of the data is governed by Art. 6 (1) b GDPR.

1.5 To track multiple actions on the website to better understand user interests, to offer customer-tailored services and for statistical purposes we generate so-called Campaign IDs which are then connected to the specific user account. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR.

1.6 The following additional data is also processed to ensure the functionality of the website itself:

1.7 We may process user´s data (especially first and last name as well as email address) if the user wants to use the blog functionality on our website. Our blog functionality enables the user to create own posts and comment other users’ posts. The data processing, necessary to offer this service, is based on Art. 6 (1) b GDPR. Users can change or delete posts and comments at any time. We provide further information regarding the collection of accompanying data (e.g. time stamp, IP address, etc.) in our general HARTMANN privacy policy under the heading "collection of access data and log files", which applies accordingly.

1.8 All data mentioned above is stored for the time for which the user account is active, insofar as no exception to this principle is mentioned in the provisions above or existing legal provisions providing different deletion periods. 2. Data provided voluntarily
Users may provide further data voluntarily during registration or later (hereinafter referred to as "data provided voluntarily"). The provision of such data is optional and mainly applies to the following data:

The legal basis for the collection and processing of these data is Art. 6 (1) a GDPR. Until the user’s withdrawal we process these data. For the right to withdraw we refer to No. 3 Sec. 2 of this privacy policy.

3. Marketing and information consent
We use the data of our users (especially email- and postal addresses as well as phone numbers) for marketing or information purposes, as far as our users have consented accordingly. In order to perform this, we use the following channels: e-mail, telephone and mail. Our marketing and infor-mation activities relate to the content offered on the website, including events, webinars, e-learnings and scientific content. The legal basis for the processing of the user’s data is their consent acc. to Art. 6 (1) a GDPR.

The consent is freely given and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. From receipt of the withdrawal, we will no longer process the data for the abovementioned purposes. However, the withdraw of the consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing that has taken place until withdrawal. The withdrawal can be sent to: info@linkforwoundhealing.info.

4. Social Media
4.1 We have integrated components of several social media providers (so-called third-party providers) on our website. These include components from Google, YouTube (a Google company), Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (a Facebook company) and Vimeo. For further information on the components of the above-mentioned providers (apart from those from Vimeo - please see below), we refer to our general HARTMANN privacy policyunder the heading "Integration of third-party services and content".

4.2 We embed videos using Vimeo. Since we do not use a social media plug-in, we link to Vimeo on our website. By actively clicking the video or chat window users activate the video or the chat. Only after users have clicked the window a connection is established to Vimeo's servers in the USA in order to download the necessary elements for displaying the corresponding video. Through the integration, Vimeo can also receive information such as the IP address, the browser used, the op-erating system, technical device information, date and duration of the visit. In addition, Vimeo can also receive the information that user’s browser has called up the corresponding page from this website, even if the user does not have a Vimeo user account or is not currently logged in to Vimeo. It is also possible that Vimeo may store cookies on the user’s device. In addition, Vimeo allows the user to use certain other functions, such as evaluating or sharing Videos. This may require the user to log in to Vimeo or certain third parties (such as Facebook or Twitter) with his user account so that they can associate the information user submits with his account. These features are provided exclusively by Vimeo and these third parties, and the user should review their privacy policies care-fully before using these features. We are not aware of the content of the information collected by Vimeo or third parties and has no control over its use. To reduce the transfer of data to Vimeo, we use the "do not track-mode” by default.
